Timings of the School Day
School Day Timings and Attendance Information
Morning Arrival
- Gates Open: 8:45 am
- Children go to class: 8.50
- Gates Close: 9:00 am
- Register Closes: 9:05 am
Please ensure your child arrives promptly before 9:00 am, having had a healthy breakfast and wearing the correct uniform—or PE kit on their PE day. A calm and smooth start to the day helps our children Learn, Believe, and Succeed. It’s important we give them the best possible start each morning. If your child is not in class by 9:00 am, they will be marked as absent initially. After 9:00 am, our Home School Liaison Officer (HSLO) will update the register for any late arrivals.
End of School Day
- Gates Open: 3:20 pm
- Children to be collected: 3.30pm
- Gates Close: 3:40 pm
If your child has not been collected by 3:40 pm, they will be taken to the Inclusion Room for their safety until the HSLO arrives to take over the late collection duty. Late pick-ups will be monitored by the Home School Liaison Officer.
Our Expectations
We kindly ask all parents and carers to ensure that children arrive on time each morning and are collected promptly at the end of the school day. Punctuality is important for your child’s learning and helps the school day run smoothly for everyone.
Additionally, to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted start and end to the school day, we expect parents and carers to leave the school site promptly at drop-off and pick-up times. Please exit via the front or back gates and avoid using the school foyer unless you have an urgent matter requiring immediate attention from the school office.
Supporting Families
Children who are frequently late to school or collected late will be flagged to our Safeguarding Team, and this information will also be shared with our Attendance Advisory Officer. We are committed to working collaboratively with parents and carers to support timely arrival and collection, ensuring the best outcomes for every child.
Please note, parents who are frequently late to collect their children may be fined. The matter will be referred to a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and you will be called into school for a meeting.
