Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium at Mulgrave Primary School
At Mulgrave, we are committed to ensuring Every Child a Success, and the Pupil Premium plays a key role in helping us achieve this.
The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools to support specific groups of pupils who may be at risk of underachievement. This includes:
-
Children who are currently eligible for Free School Meals (FSM)
-
Children who have been eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years
-
Children who are looked after by the local authority or have been in care for more than six months
-
Children from service families
Schools can decide how to spend the funding to best support eligible pupils—but we are held accountable for how we use it. At Mulgrave, we use our Pupil Premium funding to close the attainment gap, provide targeted support, and ensure all pupils have access to the enrichment, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
We are required to publish details of how we spend this funding, along with the impact it has on pupil outcomes. This ensures transparency and keeps our families and wider community informed about how we are using public funding to make a difference.
