Primary Science Quality Mark – Gilt Award
We’re proud to share that Mulgrave Primary School has been awarded the Gilt Award by the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) in recognition of the outstanding science teaching and learning taking place across our school.
Achieving this award in 2019 was no small feat — it required dedication, innovation, and a whole-school commitment to high-quality science education. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our pupils and the passion of our staff, we successfully met the rigorous criteria and were celebrated for the strength of our science curriculum and teaching.
To mark the achievement, members of our team attended a fantastic awards evening at Collins Publishers in London Bridge, where we had the exciting opportunity to meet inspirational figures in science education — including Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock from BBC’s The Sky at Night.
This award reflects our continued commitment to nurturing curiosity, developing scientific thinking, and providing all our children with exciting, hands-on opportunities to learn, believe and succeed in science.
